Book Readers Review
The
essence and importance of motherhood is captured in this little book of
inspirational, practical, and humorous anecdotes. The author shares her own experiences in
motherhood and beliefs. Connie Sokol tells of the Divine, the Reality, and the
rewards of motherhood.
At the
best of times motherhood is one of the greatest responsibilities in life and
can on occasions be trying and challenging.
Connie portrays the truths, advice, encouragement, and the courage that
all mothers need.
Connie
writes that "...it is a book of joy—not a focus on to-dos or
should-have-dones. It’s simply a thank you, a
congratulations, and an awe-inspired gratitude for all that women do as
mothers." Her writing is inspiring
for all who are contemplating, about to be, and are mothers. To quote Connie again, “Despite what we see on a television screen or read in a
magazine, motherhood is a holy calling and a divine privilege."
As a
mother and grandmother, I highly recommend that anyone who wants to be or is a
mother read this little book. Congratulate
yourself, forgive yourself, take courage and most of all, share this gem with
others.
