Readers Review
Read the book, Seen the movie, and now one of the
best experiences, listened to Alison Larkin narrate the story. I think ‘narrate’ does not give full justice
to Alison’s rendition of this classic.
Performance would be more suited.
Alison Larkin has the amazing ability to produce many different voices
that create incredible pictures for every character. Larkin truly brings all the players to life
with her production of such diverse accents.
Do not miss listening to this best seller for over 150 years
performed by this brilliant lady.
About the Author:
Alison was born in Washington DC, adopted by British parents
and raised in England and Africa.
After graduating from Royal Holloway
College, London University and The Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, she
became a playwright and classical actress on the British stage. Then, at 28,
she found her birth mother, who was living in Bald Mountain, Tennessee. The
experience turned her into a stand-up comic.
She was soon headlining at the Comic
Strip in New York and the Comedy Store in LA, while maintaining her theatrical
career. She appeared Off-Broadway at the Manhattan Theater club and on Broadway
in Stanley with the Royal National Theatre. She also spent three years under studio development contract
to star in her own sitcom with ABC, CBS and Jim Henson Productions.
