Welcome to my blog Gurutej.  Thank you for taking the time to answer a few questions about yourself, your business, and book ‘The Moon She Rocks You’.

Q. Tell us about your latest worktitle, genre, etc. and why you wrote it?
A.  The Moon She Rocks YOU. Self help, Women, Relationships, Men understanding women.
To give women and men tips on how to take the drama and trauma out of their lives. Using these 11 moon centers I give tips on food, breathing methods, meditations, love tips, and so much more for how each woman can live in a more balanced state and accept the gifts that each Center offers. I want all women to take advantage of the gifts and not be buried by addictive emotions.
I took the time to write this book and share it with all women out there because you can easily learn about the Moon Centers and unearth the gifts inside each of them. It wasn’t as easy as picking up a book for me. I learned about them at a women’s camp, I don’t remember exactly which one. Yogi Bhajan spoke about the Moon Centers for about half an hour.  We found it interesting at the time, but that was all.
Some ten years later, while sorting out my notes, I found this amazing material again and decided to study it, try it, and share it.  If you are a woman, knowing about The Moon Centers gives you power over your negative emotions.  If you are a man, it gives you the key to understand women of all ages.  You learn to listen to the voice of their emotions.
It gave me the power of choice.  Knowing which Center my energy was in and in which of the three states I was in (positive, neutral, or challenged), saved me form a lot of drama and trauma, as I like to say.  For instance, if your energy is in the clitoris point and it is in a challenged state, it’s not advisable to go on a first date.  Why?  Because this makes you want to be with people you know well, who make you feel comfortable.

Q   What draws you to your genre(s)? Why is this type of story compelling to you?
A. My mission here is to uplift people and give them effective tools to connect to their essential self. Things that will make each person who comes in contact with this work more radiant more of a delightful Hue man being. We are beings of light that is why we are called Human beings. The light of our minds. I want to give techniques to rekindle that light in all.

Q.  What is your writing process like? Do you map the whole thing out or do you just let it unfold?
A.  This had the 11 moon centers and I first did  9 hrs of DVD’s that are much more complete and part of the program available on my site http://gurutej.com/store/11-moon-centers/ this was then transcribed put into a book and edited and rewritten oh about 10 times.

Q.  Gurutej, I understand you have many talents.  Please could you tell our readers a little more about your life and works?
A.  What I want to do here is say go to my web site that will tell you more www.gurutej.com I have had an amazingly interesting life. Any time you have a spiritual teacher your life is bound to be interesting because you have said yes to your soul over all else. Thus I teach from a very deep but humor filled space. Come join me and you will get to see what that means. Sign in on my site and you will get a free e-book and stay connected with my newsletters and events. Come be part of the essence of us.

Q.  Gurutej, when did you realize that you were a spiritual thinker?
A.  Actually I have always known I was spiritual but I remember the day I realized I was a spiritual teacher (though others had been telling me this for a long time). I was speaking with this cute young girl and she asked what I did and I said that I was a yoga teacher. She chirped “Me too.” I knew at that time that we were not speaking of the same thing at all. She was speaking of yoga poses or asanas and I was speaking of a yogic or connected life.

Q. Who or what was the greatest influence in your life?
A. Many both in the body and not. First I hung out with books of saints growing up. Then I did TM, Then Yogi Bhajan was a huge influence, I also studied shamanism and am a student of the Divine Always. The poet Hafiz is a real heart speaks to me now.

Q.  Are there any other members of your family who follow a similar spiritual path as yourself?
 A.  Not at this time but my children both have very deep spiritual practices of their own. They grew up in spiritual communities and have molded their own practices.

Q.   How do you balance the need to have time to write with the needs of family, society, etc.?
A.  Hmmmm. not a problem. I teach and work with what time I have. Stretching time and space.

Q.   Have there been any authors in particular, that inspired your writing?
A.  Inspired me but not my writing style.

Q.  What other projects are you currently working on or about to start?
A.  A book and a program called The 13th Month - Getting 30 extra days each year.  This program and book are geared at two groups. Mothers and people who spend way to much time at their desks or working and want to figure out better ways to live a delicious balanced life having more time to do the things they want. It is a system that works with everything from how you go to sleep and wake up to little things you do all day long to make more effective choices in everything from food to simple exercise you can do right by or at your desk or in the car for Mom’s.

Could you share some of your marketing strategies?  Which ones are the most effective in your opinion?
A.  Steve Harrison’s program called Quantum Leap of author’s great info and support. I have a couple small distribution companies that carry my books. I also worked with Create Space this time for the print book and Book Baby for the Kindle edition.

Q.  What would be the top five, (or 3 or 1 or however many) things you would tell aspiring authors?
    A.  Don’t quit your day job.
B.   Follow your heart and have a great editor who will keep your voice but be more neutral than you about your content.
C.   Pick a great title that works to get people to pick it up or want to know more.
D.   Use online book tours, get on radio shows. It requires work or it will only sit in your basement.

Q.  What is the origin of your name?
A. In Sanskrit it means “the one who lifts you out of darkness into light at the speed of light”. That is what I do this time round. With my presence, I uplift others. Living to my name is the path to my and others liberation.

Q.  Could you explain what the ‘3HO’ is?
A.  Yes healthy, happy, holy
.
Q.  Where did you learn of the “Moon Centers” and the significance for women?
A.  I learned about the Moon Centers from Yogi Bhajan at a women’s camp in the 1970’s. This information is directly related to how the Moon Centers impact areas of a woman’s body – from head to toe. The details about how we can shift how the Moon Centers affect our emotional well-being. Many women experience dramatic fluctuations in their emotional state at various times of the month, this book shows you how to take advantage of the positive times and how to work with and improve the negative times – all without drugs or radical treatments.

 Q. Could you talk about some of the courses you have available and the yoga centers you have created have a course on the moon centers?
A. This is the course on the moon centers that live here and in the hearts and homes of many http://gurutej.com/store/11-moon-centers/
I also have a course called Get Your Essence Back or Get Your Skinny back. Inside every woman - her skinny or juicy self lives. This is the link for that course. http://gurutej.com/store/get-your-skinny-back/
I have a new book that is final edit and there will be a program as well. This is called The 13th month. How you can get 1 extra month a year. This will be out sometime soon.
I also invite you to visit my site – http://www.giurutej.com. I teach in Toronto on a regular basis at Bliss Yoga Studio, I am going to Prague and several other European cities this fall and doing a South American tour in November including a trip to Macha Picchu – you should come with me. All of you should come. I fell in love with this place last year and want to take everyone before they close it. This is a very real thing so come now.

Again, thanks  Gurutej for taking the time to share your knowledge with us. We appreciate you and your work.

Good luck with your current and future publications.

If you are a woman, knowing about The Moon Centers gives you power over your negative emotions. If you are a man, it gives you the key to understand women of all ages. Welcome to my blog Sue.  Thank you for taking the time to answer a few questions about yourself, your career, and books on Zero Stress for Selling.

Q. Sue you have an interesting background in sales and business. Could you tell our readers a little about yourself?  What are some of the events that have influenced your life as it is today?
A. I had been in sales for more than 25 years, with the last 9+ years as a sales manager for a Fortune 500 company with 10-14 sales representatives reporting to me. I was extremely busy with work eating up all my time and draining my energy. Unfortunately, this stress was taking its physical and mental toll. With my son in college, it was just me, the pets and my job. I got into the vicious cycle of working 12-hour days and sleeping 10-12 hours a night. Weekends passed as a blur of grocery shopping, laundry, napping and trying to catch up with work. I was stressed out to the max and ready to break apart.
I knew I had to make a change. I already had one stress-induced disorder, fibromyalgia, and I didn't want to get any other illnesses. So I took some time off from work and made some tough decisions to eliminate everything that stressed me out (including several friends). It took a while but I finally started to feel better. And eventually, I experienced a feeling of joy that I had not felt in a very long time.

Q.  Please tell us about your book and why you wrote it?
A. It wasn’t until I started training and coaching on how to sell 11 years ago that I realized all the fear and stress that surrounds selling.

I would hear:
·         “Sue, I just don’t know how to close”
·         “How do I get my prospective client to actually talk to me instead of me doing all the talking?”
·         “Sue, how do I sell without being pushy but still make a great living?”
Out of these questions, Zero Stress Selling was born. I specialize in helping women business owners shift gears into relaxed, confident and lucrative sales conversations.

Now, I’m on a mission to help coaches and consultants fill their practices and to learn to enjoy selling without stress or fear.
Part of that mission was to write a book on how to get more clients and fill your practice using online methods of marketing.

Q.  What kind of research was involved in writing your book?
A.  I started my own online business after leaving corporate America and the book was a natural progression of all that I learned making my company, Zero Stress Selling, successful.

Q.  Is there a story you want to tell behind or about your work(s)?
A.  I absolutely love helping coaches and consultants find new clients online and then have relaxed and confident client enrollment conversations. By knowing how to close the deal, they will always have a full and thriving practice.

Q.  How many books have you written? How many have been published?
AI have written two books. The other book is “Zero Stress Selling: 7 No-Fail Strategies to Lose Your Stress Now”. It is for any woman who sells. They sell on Amazon.com, both as paperbacks and as Kindle editions.

Q.  What is the hardest part of writing for you?
A. There really hasn’t been a hard part. I enjoy the process and finished each book within 3 months’ time.

Q.  What is the most positive experience in your writing process?
A.  I love the idea that my books can be purchased inexpensively by any coach or consultant that needs help with marketing or with stress and work/life balance.

Q.   Do you have a favorite place where you like to write?
A.  I’m old-fashioned in that I like to write long-hand on yellow pads and then get my assistant to type the pages to send to my editor. So I enjoy writing curled up on my couch or armchair with my dog, Winnie the Pooh, at my feet.

Q.   What other projects are you currently working on or about to start?
A.  I’m starting a book on client enrollment strategies for coaches and consultants. I also offer classes and private consulting on how to get more clients and fill your practice.

Q.  Could you share some of your marketing strategies?  Which ones are the most effective in your opinion?
A. Having a system is very important, whether you do coaching or consulting from your home office or have a professional services business, like a financial planner or a chiropractor.

Offline activities, like speaking, networking and direct mail still work. But you can get more clients if you take your activities online in addition to just offline sales and marketing activities.

QWhat would be the top five, (or 3 or 1 or however many) things you would tell aspiring authors?
A.  Just push through and write. Don’t censor yourself – your editor can prune it back. Just keep on writing one page a day or three pages every weekend.

Q.  How do you balance the need to have time to write with the needs of family, society, etc.?
A.  Work/life balance is so important. I believe you have to figure out your most important values and spend time on the top 3 each and every day. I follow that system myself so that I spend time with my family, creating and writing and relaxing each day.

Q.  What do you read for fun when you’re not writing?
AMurder mysteries! I love Sue Grafton detective fiction the best of all.

Remember that kid who won the bike for selling the most at the school fundraiser?
That was me. I’ve always had a gift for selling.
But when I attended college in the 70’s, women didn’t go into sales as a career.
So I became a teacher. Finally, when one of my girlfriends got a job in sales in the early 80’s, I applied for sales positions so fast your head would spin.
Since then, I’ve sold matchbooks to hotels, linen service to restaurants and medical devices to hospitals and wholesalers. I was great at it, I won awards for it and I enjoyed it.
It wasn’t until I started training and coaching on how to sell 11 years ago that I realized all the fear and stress that surrounds selling.
I would hear:
·        “Sue, I just don’t know how to close”

·        “Sue, how do I sell without being pushy but still make a great living?”
Out of these questions, Zero Stress Selling was born. I specialize in helping women business owners shift gears into relaxed, confident and lucrative sales conversations.

Nikki Leigh's New Virtual Book Tour Site Launch on February 1

Many people have heard about virtual book tours, sometimes called virtual author tours or virtual blog tours. They are a new and exciting way for authors to "tour" the internet - without leaving their home.Imagine... you can meet potential readers from all over the internet and potential all over the world and you don't need to leave your home and family. In addition, a virtual tour is much more reasonably priced than the plane tickets, hotel rooms, meals etc that you need to buy for a book tour on the ground.Authors and readers are all invited to visit the new virtual book tour site. There are over 100 articles and interviews to help authors learn more about book promotion. There are a number of web pages that were created by our tour site sponsors - they offer many products and services that could be beneficial for you. (If you would like to become a sponsor, please contact me at nikki_leigh22939@yahoo.com for more information.)What's different about this book tour option? While our featured authors will visit other blogs throughout the month, each tour stop will be posted on the book tour site. Visitors who come to the site have the option of reading any or all of the information about the books and the author in one central location. So, whether you arrive at the tour on day 1 or the last day, you can easily catch up on all the details that each author wants to share with you. Each visitor has a choice about how they want to learn about the feature authors. I encourage you to visit the site frequently to find out what new information has been posted. The links which are posted below, take you to each author's tour page. All posts about their books are linked to these pages and are easy to access. So, what books are we featuring in February? Here's some information about the authors you will meet during the month. They have all posted some information on the site and much more will be posted throughout the month.

Earl Ofari Hutchingson - The Ethnic Presidency: How Race Decides the Race to the White House http://www.inspiredauthor.com/promotion/Earl+Hutchinson+-+Feb+2008

The Ethnic Presidency is an explosive look at how racial and ethnic conflict has openly and covertly played a crucial role over the past three decades in influencing, shaping and ultimately deciding who bags the world's biggest political prize, the White House. It explains how racial politics is playing an even bigger role in the 2008 presidential election and future elections.

Steven Clark Bradley - Nimrod Risinghttp://www.inspiredauthor.com/promotion/steven-clark-bradley-author-nimrod-rising

Have you ever felt that the world was guided in ways that are beyond man's control? The constant changes in the world since the time of Nimrod 4000 years ago until today and all the events that have shaken the world have been to bring the universe back into the hands of the Prince of Darkness, Lucia, a world that he had ruled with his Watchers before it was all ripped from his grasp when man was created. Nimrod Rising paints a diabolical picture of how the Prince of Darkness executes his evil plot to take the world back by force and destroy civilization in the process. From the Great Builder Nimrod in 4000 BC to today, 666 generations later, you can ride the storm of Nimrod Rising and experience the death of a world and the birth pangs of another. You will swear it is really upon us!

Virginia Vassallo - Unsung Patriot: Guy T. Viskniskki How The Stars and Stripes Beganhttp://www.inspiredauthor.com/promotion/Virginia+Vassallo

The Unsung Patriot is the biography of Guy T. Viskniskki, the dynamic first officer-in-charge and editor-in-chief of The Stars and Stripes newspaper. Based in part on Guy's unpublished autobiography describing the first difficult months of the paper, his granddaughter's knowledge of the family verbal history paints a picture of a complex man. A devoted husband and father, Guy was unable to show the love he felt for his family. Guy poured his time and talent in the newspaper business. His knowledge and energy made the Army's newspaper a reality and his doctrine of "by and for the soldiers" still is the guiding light of the Stars and Stripes.

I want to extend an invitation for each person to visit the site and learn more about each of these authors and their books. I invite readers and authors to register on the site and create a profile page to tell us more about yourself. Also, feel free to post a comment about any of the posts or post an introduction on the forums. If you have questions, feel free to contact me at nikki_leigh22939@yahoo.com.

I look forward to meeting many new people.Nikki LeighAuthor of the Book Promo 101 Serieswww.nikkileigh.com/promo.htm
